MEET
KACIE

I have been a practitioner of yoga for more than 20 years. I have been teaching since 2016. As I have evolved as a teacher, my practice and philosophy around yoga has also evolved. I discovered that I wanted my classes to feel different than some of the classes I had been to. I wanted to foster a sense of unity, friendliness, inclusion, and also some fun. I wanted a space where it's okay to come and just be yourself with whatever body shows up on that day. Let's face it, some days we wish we could just lay in corpse pose. I also wanted to be able to be impactful beyond teaching the poses of yoga. What I found was that most people also wanted that. We live in a stressful world and carry most of that weight around with us everyday. Wouldn't it be great to have as many tools in our belts as we possibly can?
In 2019 I furthered my yoga journey by packing up and driving to the Berkshire Mountains to Kripalu for what would be a very long, very arduous training to become a Certified Yoga Therapist. I learned alongside so many interesting people from many different places both geographically and professionally. It was an eventful 2.5 years. I even had the unique opportunity to be stuck there for some time when the pandemic hit. Yes, it was spooky!
I obtained my Stretch and Flexibility coaching cert next because, well, what happens in the mind also happens in the body and what happens in the body also happens in the mind. It is my hope that I can be an aid in helping people discover and listen to what each is telling them. What can I tell you about myself?....I am a lifelong learner and always a student to my craft.
